Love Your Lake
Love Your Lake is a shoreline evaluation program developed by Watersheds Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Federation, conducted for any shoreline community across the country by local organizations.
The Nepahwin Lake Watershed Stewardship Group (NLWSG) worked with the City of Greater Sudbury to perform shoreline assessments in September 2020, as part of the Love Your Lake (LYL) program. As a participant in the program, every property on the lake was assessed using a standardized protocol. Landowners received a personalized property report with details on the state of their shoreline and recommended actions for improving lake health for people and wildlife. The NLWSG will receive an aggregate report in late spring 2021 and will share the findings with you here.
